Scouts are a community organisation run by volunteers
Hillwalking and Lightweight Expedition
There is a strong community of volunteers within Royal Kingston who hold permits to lead groups on hillwalking trips, wild camps and other light weight expeditions.
The majority of these adults are members of a wider community of scouting hill walkers from South West London, Surrey and beyond. Peak Active Support Unit exists to train adults in Scouting in hill walking skills and to help existing permit holders to keep their skills up to date.
