Opportunities for young people

There are plenty of opportunities for young people to participate in water activities (kayaking, sailing, &c) in Royal Kingston. This is especially true in the District’s Sea Scout Groups (Leander and Sealion), but even land Scout Groups will typically incorporate water activities into their programmes and events.

Clubs

The District also has its own Canoe Club (see below).

Adult opportunities

Adults can also get involved by volunteering to help, with support offered to undertake Scouting and industry recognised training and qualifications.

Offer to help and mention your interest as additional information.

Kingston Scout Canoe Club

Operating from Kingston Scout Canoe Club, this popular club offers water-based adventure on the River Thames.

Meetings are held on Wednesday evenings in term time between April and September.

Sessions focus on water safety, paddling technique, and teamwork — all in a fun and supportive environment.
